No, I’m not lion – okay perhaps I’ll quit with the jokes for a while.
Today was return trip from Norfolk, stopping off at Linton Zoo on the way. I’ve been there once before but didn’t have a camera with me (hard to believe I know). I was keen to see the zoo’s newly acquired Clouded Leopard, a much smaller relative in the Big Cat family. Whilst the weather was on my side, luck was not and the Clouded Leopards remained firmly ensconced in their sleeping quarters.
I’m trying to create a series of photos of close-ups of all the Big Cats and was pleased with the Lion featured above. For the 40 minutes I watched him, he only raised his head up twice so this was another case of a photographer’s greatest virtue.. patience. Patience, and timing… are two of the greatest virtues… (sorry to any Python fans there!).
This was worth the wait! Sometimes it takes a while to get the right shot. great job.
