What bugs me…

Common Blue Damselfly, originally uploaded by andyskelton.

Arrived home today to find a wonderful new visitor sipping from the abundance of nectar amongst the lavender at home.. a Hummingbird Hawkmoth. A totally awesome migrant to the UK, even if you’re not into butterflies or moths; needless to say I didn’t have my camera to hand, and when I had managed to get my gear together, there was no sign of the bug.

It did reappear, just as I was about to leave home, again without my camera, so hopefully it will be back in the next couple of days and I can get some good shots.

Whilst waiting I did manage a couple of good shots of a Common Blue Damselfly – they could be better, all were taken hand held but it was nice to get some photos of such a pretty insect.
