Whoooooooooo?

I’m up and about today, though not for long having coughed and sneezed until 2am – it did have one advantage being awake at that time of night (in the spare room), as I was able to hear, in between the sniffles, the shriek of a tawny owl. I’ve mentioned before how we have a resident pair of owl in the woods behind our house who, when the nights get dark (as they invariably do), can be heard calling to each other through the trees. I did manage to spot the birds when we first moved into our house, and despite numerous attempts over the last couple of years, I’ve not been able to locate the birds despite trying repeatedly. I’m hoping the extra strong Lemsip I’ve just drunk will be enough to get me through the night… I’ll let you know tomorrow!
