I’m waiting for a phone call; it’s not a conversation I particularly want to have, but do need to have it… I’m waiting for Canon to call me back about the tripod collar on my 600mm and what I can do to rectify the issue. Actually, it’s not so much what I can do, as how much it is going to cost to have the problem fixed. I do know one thing.. it’s not going to be cheap – I’ve seen how much the accessories that come with the lens cost to replace and I suspect servicing will be in the same order of magnitude. As I said, it’s a phone call I need to take but don’t want to hear the bad news.
A very short blog tonight, written from my sick bed, enjoy the photo of the vulture.
So sorry to hear you are not in the best of health old chap! I trust it is nothing too problematic and that you will be up and about ASAP.
What happened to your lens? Did you drop it or what? That’s the trouble with top end gear, cameras, cars, computers et al, it all cost sooo much to maintain….Oh did I mention wives?
(with apologies to your female readers….it’s a joke OK?)

Who knew vultures could be so pretty? I’m sorry about your camera – I hope it turns out better than you think.
