No, I’m not referring to some sort of buffet nibble you may have partaken over the Christmas period but signs of the festive season are slowly diminishing, trees being stripped of their colourful baubles, fairy lights being packed carefully back into their boxes, window decorations removed from sight, it’s now time to knuckle down and start 2012 in earnest. For me this means completing the course notes I need to write for the photo day I’ll be taking at the end of the month, as well as my website and with the pressure off now to upload photos to Flickr each day as well as post a blog I’m feeling a little comfortable with the tasks ahead. This doesn’t mean I can rest of my laurels, far from it – there’s far too much to do before the 29th January (the first course) to be complacent – so with the blog completed early I’ll be working on the website, which truthfully should have been completed by the end of December – now it HAS to be finished at least a week before the course, to give me more than enough time to concentrate on what I’m actually going to say.. that’s a point.. what exactly AM I going to say? (for once that wasn’t rhetorical, Dear Reader, I was hoping you were going to provide me with some ideas!).
As with many things, once you start the ball rolling it’s amazing how quickly you can get through tasks you’ve been putting off. I started to make a basic list of things to discuss during the course I’ll be running, and immediately I have a 3 page document of ideas – at this rate I’m going to have to start taking things out, not trying to think of things to add in. You will excuse me though, Dear Reader, as whilst I have plenty of discussion points, I do need to add some more bones to this skeletal framework and as such the blog, whilst it will continue may not be as long as my previous entries. Hang on, what’s that sound? It sounds like a host of trumpets playing a fanfair.. there’s cheering too, and clapping – it sounds like there is much rejoicing. Oh it’s gone now, as should I .. hang on – it’s there again… hmm let me test something… marmalade… nope, nothing… I’ve got to go… yes, there it is again – it seems to be related to me having to go (there it is AGAIN!)… ok, I get the hint…
