Just like that

This baby prairie dog certainly has the stance correct, all it’s missing is a Fez and we could enter it into Britain’s Got Talent (it would beat any of the contenders I had the misfortune to witness last night!) as a Tommy Cooper look-a-like.

A trip out to Twycross Zoo and the weather was in my favour; whilst I tend to have given up on Meerkats, Prairie Dogs and Otters, having taken so many pictures of these animals already, I couldn’t resist snapping away at the babies at the Park. Even the hardest of hearts couldn’t help but melt at the site of them. The photo doesn’t depict any sense of scale, these were very small, and quite unsteady on their feet. Either that or they’d had a few drinks before meeting their public.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day wandering around the collection and spent a long time around the Great Ape enclosures. So mesmerised was I by these amazing creatures that I didn’t take as many photos as I would normally and as such I don’t think I’ll be posting much here.

Having said that, I’ve not really reviewed what pictures I took – I’d already decided whilst driving back that this cute little fella would be posted tonight.

I’ll leave you with one of Tommy Cooper‘s jokes … “I had a ploughman’s lunch the other day. He wasn’t very happy!”
