Son, be a dentist

This is actually the second blog I’ve started today but through random key presses I somehow managed to erase the previous one which was nearly completed… much gnashing of teeth.

I’m not going to try and recreate my previous missive, I find re-writing this I’ve already said looses the spontaneity of my writing and in fact it then feels contrived.

I guess that’s one of the reasons I love photography so much, even though the subject may be the same on a different day, the lighting, atmosphere etc will never be the same so things still feel fresh and exciting.

Today’s blog title is from a really wonderful musical… I know I know.. musicals are frowned upon by the intelligencia who feel they’re inferior to opera and scoffed at my muso’s as being rather trite but please bear with me… this musical is a little different. It’s central character is a plant… a plant from outerspace. There’s a love interest, there’s a tale of avarice, and there’s a tale of sadistic white collar worker. Any ideas? The Little Shop of Horrors – the movie version of which featured a lot of big starts including Rick Moranis, Steve Martin and the incomparable vocal talents of Levi Stubbs. So tonight I’ll leave you with a couple of songs from the film… Son, be a dentist and Feed Me.
