Today’s photo is another old one, this one from 2007, and is of three comical Southern White-faced Owls. Looking like Curly, Larry and Moe, The Three Stooges (hence the title of the blog) the opportunity to photograph them was too good to miss. I managed to take two photos before the right hand owl became bored of posing and flew off, and of the two this one is my favourite.
I’m hoping for clearer weather in the next few days, preferably with some blue sky, as I now know of three locations close to where I live that have large flocks of waxwings. In fact so desperate am I to photograph these migrant birds that I’ll be carrying all my photographic equipment around with me for the next week.
One thing that is guaranteed, by the end of the week if I haven’t snapped any waxwings, I will more closely resemble any one of the major great apes as my arms will be so stretched that my knuckles will be dragging on the floor. I wanna be like you-hoo-hoo, you know it’s true, an ape like me-e-e-e.
what a great picture. love the one on the right also. -Kim

Thanks, it made me laugh when I first saw the birds and couldn’t resist snapping them.
