.. a big disgrace. I’m not exactly what you call a Queen fan but the words do seem appropriate for this bird; a Black-tailed Godwit. I watched the bird wading across a shallow scrape, having started out with a clean bill and face – the continuous probing of the mud resulted in a rather comical covering over the birds face.
During the same stint, I spent several hours watching and photographing a gathering of Snipe close to the hide, which I’ve posted to Flickr. The weather on the first day was perfect, however the birds were showing better on the second day… when the weather had changed; it was still a pleasure watching them.
